Meet the heart behind Rooted
Hi, I’m Kristy.
I’m glad you’re here.
Occupational therapist.
Mom of three. Your partner in the little things that matter.
I support infants, children, and families through thoughtful, individualized occupational therapy—building foundations for movement, play, connection, and everyday independence.

My path to occupational therapy
Meaningful progress
starts with the person.
Before becoming an occupational therapist, I spent six years in conductive education, supporting children and adults with neuromotor challenges through movement and learning. That experience shaped the way I see therapy: purposeful, personal, and connected to everyday life.
I went on to earn my Master’s in Occupational Therapy at AdventHealth University. My work has included pediatric, adult, and geriatric care, with a focus on neurology and the skills that support participation and independence.
At Rooted Brain & Body Therapy, I bring that perspective to each family I meet. We look at your child’s strengths, the challenges underneath daily routines, and the goals that are most meaningful to you.
What it feels like to work together
Curiosity. Connection.
A plan that fits your family.
Your observations matter.
You know the moments I don’t get to see. Your questions, concerns, and small wins help shape our work together.
We build on strengths.
Your child’s interests and abilities give us a place to start. Therapy should feel engaging, purposeful, and responsive to who they are.
Everyday life is the goal.
We connect our work to the routines and activities that matter to your family, with practical steps you can carry beyond the visit.

Beyond the therapy room
Family is at the
heart of my life, too.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me spending time with my husband, our three children, our Australian shepherd, and our big extended family.
Being a mom is part of what I bring to this work: an appreciation for busy days, different personalities, and the little moments that mean so much.
Connected in care
Alongside my work through Rooted Brain & Body Therapy, I’m part of the Sproutlings Speech & Language Center team. I value working with families and fellow providers to support each person’s therapy journey.
Let’s start with your story.
You don’t have to figure
out the next step alone.
Tell me a little about your child and what you’re hoping for.
